Introduction

For our Food Sustainability Project, we chose to find out about rooftop gardens & how we can grow crops in urban locations, because in the near future, we will soon run out of space to grow crops.  As more people are moving to urban areas, means the land is taken up by residential homes, meaning less land is being used for farming. More people are starting to install Rooftop Gardens as there are so many benefits of having one aside from being able to grow crops. For example: having rooftop gardens takes away carbon dioxide and adds oxygen to the air, they insulate the building and encourage beneficial wildlife.
